Sunrise Restaurant & Bar

This is a MUST visit when in the area. The food was incredible and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We had the vegetable spring rolls and chicken satay to start with. Pad Thai chicken, garlic fried rice, pineapple chicken fried rice, pork with basil leaf and sweet and sour chicken and it was all amazing. So so cheap for 4 people and drinks! Would definitely visit again

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently dined at Sunrise Restaurant in Khao Lak and was truly impressed. The pizza was exceptionally flavorful with a perfect crust, the steak was tender and perfectly cooked, and the baked spinach with cheese was absolutely outstanding — the best I’ve had in a long time. The food quality was excellent, and the prices were surprisingly affordable. A must-visit spot for food lovers visiting Khao Lak. I’ll definitely be back again soon!

Tasty, well priced food. They do wood fire pizzas as well as Thai food. We didn't try the pizza's but they looked amazing! We had the Pad Thai and yellow curry which were both really nice. The only negative was that for some reason, the music playing was the same 30 seconds of a song on repeat. When you're there for approx 45min enjoying a meal it was a bit much! Other than that everything was great!

Nice little road side family restaurant, they have a proper pizza oven which supposedly cooks good ones. But yeah, don't hold up too much, it's average. The Thai dishes are good though, just avoid the satay.

Zak, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. We had dinner here twice in this trip. Their Thai Set meal is of great value and very good quality. It will definitely feed two people. The mango sticky rice is very good too. We will come back again if we are in the area.

We visited this restaurant several times during our stay and it was always a lovely experience: The greeting was heartily, the service very friendly and courteous and the food fantastic. And if you need a break from the delicious Thai food, I strongly recommend the pizza made in a traditional Italian oven - best pizza ever! We loved it there and will come back again!

Contrary to some of the negative comments, Sunrise Restaurant is an absolute standout and deserves genuine recognition. This is a small, family-run Thai restaurant that embodies everything great about local hospitality. The owner went above and beyond even transporting a pizza oven all the way from Chiang Mai to serve both local and international guests with authentic, freshly made pizzas. Each one is cooked to order, served piping hot, and consistently excellent in both flavour and presentation. Pricing is fair and locally set, allowing the restaurant to stay accessible to both residents and tourists year-round, even through the quieter off-season. Both Western and Thai dishes are equally superb, prepared with care and attention to detail. In short, Sunrise is a restaurant that truly represents Thai warmth, quality, and value. We can’t compliment the team enough they deserve far more recognition than they get!
